Course Overview

• For the second component, in relation to Christianity, there are three sections

SECTION A: STUDY OF RELIGION

• Religion, gender and sexuality

SECTION B: THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN PHILOSOPHY OF RELIGION AND RELIGION

• How religion is influenced by and has an influence on, philosophy of religion in relation to the issues studied

SECTION C: THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN ETHICAL STUDIES AND RELIGION

• How religion is influenced by and has an influence on, ethical studies in relation to the issues studied.

ASSESSMENT

To achieve the full Religious Studies A Level you must take the exams. You will be responsible for booking your exams. You can contact us for help with this whenever you are ready. The studied sections will be assessed by two paper-based examinations. Details of these are provided below:

COURSE DURATION

You will have 24 months to complete the full A-Level. This is a lot more time than you need so that you can study at your own pace without the pressure of tight deadlines.

STUDY METHOD

This course enables you to study for an A-Level in Religious Studies by distance learning at home or at work. Your course materials will be sent by post or email. Full tutor support will be available via email, so help is only a click away! Your course will include self-assessment exercises and tutor-marked study questions, so you can monitor your progress.

COURSE OUTCOME

Once you have successfully completed the examinations you will receive the AQA accredited A Level in Religious Studies. These subject-based qualifications that can lead to university, further study, training, or work.
