This course deals with one of the most important aspects of spectroscopy and the manage with pollution monitoring. Basically, these two are entirely different subjects, but over the years the use of spectroscopy in pollution monitoring has been on the increase because of the importance and use of operation. Topics covered in this course include Introduction to molecular absorption spectroscopy, Theoretical principles of absorptions chromophotometric contributions, Optical benchmarking, Practice of spectrophotometry, Derivative spectroscopy, Applications of absorption spectrometry to real systems, Ambient air monitoring, Industrial effluents, Metal ions, Continuous monitoring and Biochemical analysis.
