Description
This course, A global dimension to science education in schools, is aimed at those teachers who would like to give a more global feeling to their teaching. You will learn how to source scientific articles with a greater emphasis on science and technology beyond the western world and experience how such articles can be incorporated into teaching within the National Curriculum.
Course learning outcomes
After studying this course, you should be able to:
- Understand why the global dimension in science is so important
- Understand what contributions have been made to science by ‘non-Western’ scientists
- Deliver the curriculum so as to bring global science to life for students.
