The Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (Honours) program of Lincoln University College allows the students with the opportunity to focus on the human body at the molecular, cellular and whole body levels. They will also acquire knowledge about the disciplines of biochemistry and cell biology, physiology, developmental biology, microbiology, pharmacology and neuroscience as well as advanced study in research. he program aims to create graduates with the essential and advanced knowledge in current concepts of life sciences, physical sciences, and interdisciplinary studies. The objective of the course is to prepare the students in analytical skills and laboratory techniques routinely applied in biomedical research and other essential related skills. The students gain a comprehensive understanding in their field, focusing on ideas, theories and professional practices. The purpose is to apply the knowledge to help society to develop in a positive way.
Graduates have the knowledge and experience appropriate for commencing a career in biomedical research, for example, laboratories in hospitals, research institutes, universities or private companies. Entry Requirements :
- Pass the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) / Matriculation / A-Level / Pre-University Programme or other qualification equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 the following subjects: • Biology / Physics • Chemicals; AND Passed the Certificate of Education (SPM) / O-Level with five (5) credits, of which three (3) credits in the following subjects: • Life Sciences • Physics • Mathematics • Chemistry • English; OR
- Passed Diploma (Level 4 Qualification Framework (MOF) in a related field from any HEP with minimum CGPA of 2.75; OR
- Diploma (Level 4, MOH) in a related field from any HEP with a CGPA of less than 2.75 and has a work experience of at least three (3) years (36 months) in a related field.
- Competence of English for international students: Getting a score of 6.0 for IELTS or TOEFL minimum score of 550.
