This course deals with the fundamentals of energy conversion, the conventional sources of energy, the non-conventional sources of energy. Topics covered include quality of energy, thermal power plants, hydro electric power, nuclear power generation, solar thermal energy conversion, photovoltaic power generation, wind and tidal energy, geothermal energy, energy storage and hydrogen economy.
