Description
We all do moral thinking. This course aims to spark the student into sustained thinking about ethical issues and the theories on which they are based. This course deals with topics: Introduction to ethical theories such as consequentialism, hedonism and utilitarianism; Meta-ethical theories including ethical naturalism, non-naturalism, and intuitionism; Ethics in the Indian tradition such as theory of Karma, Gandhian ethics, and Buddhist ethics; and some ethical issues including liberty, equality, and justice.
