Description

The main objects are to introduce fluid mechanics and establish its relevance to civil engineering; develop the fundamental principles and demonstrate how these are used in engineering, especially in civil engineering. The important topics covered in this course include the fundamental concepts of fluid flow, fluid statics, kinematics of fluid flow, dynamics of fluid flow, laminar and turbulent flows, pile flow systems, Navier-Stokes equations and applications, and boundary layer theory and applications.
