Dyslexia is a condition affecting literacy skills. This course, Understanding dyslexia, analyses how our image of normality affects the way we as a society define such conditions. You will learn how important it is to integrate the different psychological accounts of dyslexia in order to provide a full explanation of potential causes and strategies for remediation.
Please note that this course was written around 10 years ago and so reflects best practice in this area at that time. We are currently looking to update the course to include some more recent theories and examples.
