Assessment

To achieve the full Economics A Level you must take the exams. You will be responsible for booking your exams. The exams will be assessed across the four themes on 3 paper-based examinations. • Assessed: Any content from themes 1 and 3.
• Assessment format: Multiple-choice and short-answer questions, data response questions and extended open-response questions

Paper 2: The National and Global Economy – 9EC0/02

• Type: Written examination
• Duration: 2 hours
• Weighing: 35% of A Level
• Total Marks: 100
• Assessed: Any content from themes 2 and 4
• Assessment format: Multiple-choice and short-answer questions, data response questions and extended open-response questions

Paper 3: Microeconomics and Macroeconomics – 9EC0/03

• Type: Written examination
• Duration: 2 hours
• Weighing: 30% of A Level
• Total Marks: 100
• Assessed: Content from all four themes
• Assessment format: Data response questions including one extended open-response question

Course Duration

You will have 2 years to complete the full A-Level from the date you receive your materials. You will be able to study at your own pace and in your own time without the pressure of tight deadlines.
