The Bachelor of Education (Teaching of English as Second Language -TESL) programme is designed to give students, the academic and technical skills in broad areas. The programme combines precise training in methods of teaching English and practice with the analytical tools of education. Entry Requirements :
- Passed the Malaysian High School Certificate (STPM) with at least Grade C (NGMP 2.0) in 2 subjects; or
- Passed the Malaysian Higher Certificate of Religion (STAM) (good rank). STAM students who do not take or pass Arabic in Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) or equivalent can be considered for Arabic Degree; or
- Passed the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least Grade B in 5 subjects; or
- Passed Matriculation / Foundation / Foundation from any IPTA / IPTS / Institution which is allowed to offer foundation program with CGPA of 2.00; or
- Diploma with at least CGPA 2.00; or
- Other recognized qualifications are equivalent to that by the Government of Malaysia.
 Credit transfer and recognition of prior learning We accept a diverse range of qualifications; this includes considering prior learning as credit towards your OpenCoursa & partner degree. This means you can apply to be exempt from taking certain modules on your York degree if you have previous relevant qualifications or experience.  This policy applies to all undergraduate and postgraduate taught (MBA, MSc, MA, PG Dip, PG Cert and PhDs ) applicants, including those from anywhere.
