This course is about stress, emotional disorders and the brain. You will learn about some of the disorders related to the feelings of stress, sadness and anxiety including how these disorders are diagnosed, their biological correlates, and evidence of their possible causes. To start, the course looks at some definitions of mood, emotions and emotional disorders and explains how emotions and emotional disorders themselves can be placed in the wider context of our evolutionary heritage.Course learning outcomes
