ASSESSMENT
You will be assessed across the above units by 2 paper-based examinations. A range of practical skills for this course will be assessed through written exams. Therefore, we strongly advise you to take your practical assessments and written exams. With this option, you have the freedom to book your own exams and practicals. You do not need any previous knowledge to enrol on this course. This course is for students aiming to achieve grades 1-5. If you are wishing to study towards grades 4-9Â choose GCSE Chemistry Higher Tier.STUDY METHOD

Once you have studied the course and successfully passed the examinations, you will be awarded your AQA GCSE chemistry. You will achieve grade between 1-5 with the higher tier paper. If you just fail to achieve grade 4, you will be awarded an allowed grade 3. Students who fail to meet the minimum standard for an allowed grade 3 will be recorded as U (unclassified) and will not receive a qualification certificate. For students wishing to study towards grades 4-9, please choose our GCSE Chemistry Higher Tier course.PROGRESSION

You will need to take the official GCSE examinations in order to fully complete this course. It is your responsibility to book and pay for any exams and practicals included in this course yourself. Students are required to take full responsibility for making arrangements with their chosen test centre. The highest grade you can achieve with this course is Grade 5. For students wishing to achieve grade 6-9, please choose our GCSE Biology - Higher Tier course.
For this particular course, examination centres charge a substantial fee to take your exams and practical assessments, which is why we thoroughly recommend you conduct further research into this before enrolling.
You are still able to study this GCSE course, but the British Council Approved Centres, as this is the only guaranteed way to access exam centres.
